$50B in aid for small biz
The House Small Business Committee recently approved legislation to provide $50 billion in emergency pandemic aid to small firms. It is being considered as part of the upcoming COVID-19 relief package. The committee bill includes:
- $25 billion new grant program for small restaurants;
- $15 billion Targeted EIDL advances
- $1.25 billion more in grants for Shuttered Venue Operators;
- $840 million for SBA administrative costs overseeing pandemic programs; and
- $25 million for SBA’s OIG
