Scorecard said under review
The Small Business Administration earlier this year announced it would be evaluating the effectiveness of its annual Small Business Procurement Scorecard.
The review intends to address how the scorecard influences goal achievement and contracting opportunities for small firms, and to identify the related factors that are most significant, such as negotiation of goals, public reporting of the scorecard and the scorecard methodologies. There’s also analysis of the impact of scorecard methodology changes.
The scorecard review was announced in SBA’s Enterprise Learning Agenda (ELA) document of May 2021. The review was supposed to take place in fiscal 2021. Set-Aside Alert has contacted SBA officials for an update.
Also, in fiscal 2022, SBA will evaluate its annual surveillance reviews for small business contracting.
