House Committees hold hearings on labor law rule, NLRB decision
House panels held hearings on two issues potentially affecting small business federal contractors.
Two subcommittees of the House Small Business Committee held a hearing on the administration’s proposed rule requiring federal contractors to disclose labor law violations within the last three years.
In addition, the House Education and Labor Committee’s health and employment subcommittee heard testimony on proposed bill HR3459, which would undo the National Labor Relations Board’s recent ruling on “joint employers”.
Several small business franchise owners said the ruling would have a negative affect on franchisees.
