GSA extends deadlines due to UEI delays
Responding to multiple user complaints of delays in vendors seeking to register and validate a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), the General Services Administration has extended deadlines for registration for 111 days for some vendors.
The extension affects entities with active contracts in the Federal Procurement Data System and with registration expiration dates that fall between July 14, 2022 and Oct. 31, 2022.
The GSA’s extensions were noted in a Homeland Security Dept. presentation to industry on July 28.
GSA also has indicated it will be making changes soon to the System for Award Management (SAM) and UEI validation process (see story in this issue).
