Construction firms’ survey

Federal construction contractors surveyed by the Associated General Contractors of America said they will stop bidding on federal projects if they are forced to abide by project labor agreements as directed by President Biden.

In an executive order in February, Biden said the government’s policy is to use project labor agreements for federal construction projects over $35 million.

Nearly 75% of the surveyed contractors opposed the policy. About 40% of the respondents already work under collective bargaining agreements.
