OASIS follow-on is now OASIS Plus or OASIS+
After trying out several names, the GSA has gone back to basics to rename the OASIS follow-on contract the OASIS Plus or OASIS+ contract.
Previously, the professional services GWAC initially was called the memorable “BIC MAC” and then the “Services MAC.”
A GSA official said the new name reflects the original OASIS’ popularity.
“The name echoes a successful brand that our customers have come to know and trust, reflects the expanded scope of services that will be available through the new program, and embodies the contract’s flexible domain-based structure,” Tiffany T. Hixson, assistant commissioner, wrote in a June 15 blog entry.

Gov’t may part with partying vendors
Reputations may be lost--and so may government contracts--if federal contractors are not careful to behave appropriately at post-pandemic events.
“Your company may want to offer some refreshers if it’s been awhile since members of your team attended in-person business gatherings,” Larry Allen, president of Allen Federal Business Partners. “What may have been considered appropriate behavior in March 2020 may not be now.”
US Army soldiers on trademark advising missions in Central and South America recently were warned after reports of drinking, STDs and Tinder use.

GSA Interact now at Buy.GSA.gov
As of June 21, all visits to the GSA’s Interact website are being redirected to a new platform, https://buy.gsa.gov.
On a visit to the new platform on that date, the Interact page appeared to be well organized with boxes for each line of business. However, the OASIS Interact page and several others failed to load for several hours. Registrations also appeared to be stalled for several hours.
GSA officials were not immediately available to comment.
