Alliant 2 RFPs in June
The Alliant 2 and Alliant 2 Small Business contract solicitations are expected in the second half of June 2016, John Cavadias, procuring contract officer, announced on the GSA Interact website.
Presolicitation announcements will precede the “RFP” postings by 15 or more days, he wrote.

Govini tracks vendor #s
The total number of Health & Human Services Dept. vendors is up by 17% and Defense-wide vendors, up 11%, according to the 2016 Federal Scorecard by Govini.
Meanwhile, the number of HUD vendors is down by 23%; Education, down 17%; GSA, VA and Social Security Administration, all down 13%; Treasury and DOT, down 12%; and EPA, down 11%, Govini said.

GSA Schedule 70 contract in only 35 days
The Homeland Security Dept. announced the first small business contractor who was assisted by the government’s “Make it Easier” initiative to obtain a position on Schedule 70.
“DHS Science & Technology was able to help mobile security small business Kryptowire secure an IT Schedule 70 contract in 35 days,” directorate officials said in a news release.
