DOL to open Affirmative Action portal
The Labor Dept. announced it is opening an online Contractor Portal on March 31 for covered federal contractors and subcontractors to certify their compliance with Affirmative Action Program requirements.
Federal supply and service contractors and subcontractors that have 50 or more employees and hold a contract of $50,000 or more are required to use the Contactor Portal to register and certify their Affirmative Action compliance.
Construction contractors are exempt. If a contractor has at least 50 employees and a contract of $150,000 or more, there are additional requirements.
DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) is spearheading the project.
Starting in 2023, the covered contractors and subcontractors also must report the coverage period. Second annual cycle reporting must be completed by June 29.
