GSA extends inflation memo
The General Services Administration announced it is extending Economic Price Adjustment (EPA) temporary flexibilities to account for inflation through Sept. 30.
The flexibilities apply to the GSA Multiple-Award Schedules, Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts and other GSA contracts.
GSA initiated the inflation adjustments a year ago with a moratorium on certain EPA limitations. The flexibilities were expanded further in a September 2022 memo, which now has been extended in a March 6 Supplement.
Until Sept. 30, 2023, there is a temporary moratorium on the requirement that contracting officers must obtain additional approvals for inflation adjustments. All requests for additional EPA increases for inflation can be approved by the contracting officer, whether above or below the ceiling percentage established in the solicitation, according to the GSA memos.
The March 6 Supplement also extends the temporary moratorium on enforcing certain ceiling percentages and time-based limitations.
