FOIA.gov gets a redesign
The Justice Dept. announced it had launched a redesign of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) website, FOIA.gov. The redesign is a step forward toward a governmentwide FOIA portal, DOJ officials said in a news release. The redesigned version is online at FOIA.gov.
Under a 2016 law, DOJ and the Office of Management and Budget were directed to build a consolidated FOIA website that allows the public to submit a FOIA request to any agency. The redesigned FOIA.gov is described as the first iteration of the new National FOIA portal.
