Small firms, big contracts
Small businesses recently have won positions on several multi-billion-dollar multiple-award contracts.
The General Services Administration awarded 31 small businesses a place on the “OASIS” Small Business contract for professional services. With the new vendors, the number of small firms on OASIS rose to 40, from 9. Most of the new firms--24 out of 31--are located in DC, MD and VA.

In addition, the National Institutes of Health made awards to 40 apparently successful offerers--all small businesses owned by service-disabled veterans--on the CIO-SP3 IT solutions and services acquisition vehicle. The awards were subject to challenges through March 7. See the full list at http://goo.gl/dhSSxJ. NIH is still evaluating bids from 8(a), HUBZone and general small businesses.
