GSA OASIS: Task orders, not BPAs

The General Services Administration’s “OASIS” professional services contract does not accomodate Blanket Purchase Agreements. But OASIS task orders can accomplish similar goals.

OASIS Program Manager Jim Ghiloni offered that clarification in a recent blog post to address an apparently common question.

“One question I hear frequently from customers and industry alike is, ‘Can you do a Blanket Purchase Agreement on OASIS?’ Technically, no, you cannot set up a BPA under OASIS or OASIS Small Business. However, you can accomplish similar goals within an OASIS task order,” Ghiloni wrote in the GSA Interact blog.

He offered a fuller explanation of how to use task orders and an example of an effective use of task orders in the blog entry as well.
