FedBid splits into two companies

Reverse auction company FedBid Inc. is spinning off its non-federal business into a separate firm, and has named Joe Jordan as chief executive of the public sector organization.

Jordan tweeted the news on Jan. 20, confirming a report by Federal News Radio ( http://goo.gl/NfpjDN ).

FedBid's founder and former CEO Ali Saadat will lead the commercial sector.

Saadat and others at the firm were accused of improper actions by the Veterans Affairs Department Inspector General in 2014 for their role in allegedly obstructing fair bidding.
