SBA’s new rule for SBDCs

The Small Business Administration on Dec. 13 proposed a sweeping new rule revising regulations for more than 1,000 Small Business Development Centers that it oversees. Comments are due by Feb. 13.

The proposal has more than 30 sections regarding center applications, audits, terminations, property standards, grants administration, costs, fees, and other concerns. In CO, IL, IN, MN, MT, OH and WV, the centers are run by state organizations. All others are run by colleges and universities.
