DOE seeks new vendors
Goal is to advance equity
The Energy Dept. published a new policy to advance equity by seeking new entrants from underserved communities into DOE contracting, specifically in DOE “Management and Operating and Major Site and Facility Contracts.”
The policy became effective on Oct. 12. Strategies include increasing sole source awards, negotiating changes in subcontracting plans and giving new entrants priority.
