Obama sets 92 agency goals for ‘16
SBA tasked to add more 8(a)s
The Small Business Administration has a new goal to meet in 2016: “Grow the number of 8(a) certified disadvantaged businesses.”
That’s included in a package of 92 Agency Priority Goals developed by the White House and agency senior managers for the final year of the Obama presidency. The goals are described on the Performance.gov website.
In addition, the SBA’s 2016 goals include seeking to “maximize small business participation in government contracting,” which is a carryover goal from last year.
The SBA has one more goal for 2016 involving expanding lending. Last year, the SBA had three goals for expanded lending.
