Continuing Resolution approved until Dec. 3
President Joe Biden on Sept. 30 signed a Continuing Resolution (CR) approved by Congress to provide continuing appropriations to federal agencies at fiscal 2022 levels until Dec. 3.
The CR averted a government shutdown, which would have occurred once funding expired on Oct. 1.
Lawmakers left Washington shortly after approving the resolution to campaign for the midterm elections on Nov. 8. The lawmakers will return on Dec. 3.
