GSA extends pricing fix
The General Services Administration has extended and enhanced its ongoing flexibilities regarding the Economic Price Adjustment clause in its contracts until March 31, 2023.
To address inflation and its effect on GSA Schedules contractors, the agency in March 2022 approved a temporary moratorium on the enforcement of certain limitations contained in some GSA price adjustment clauses.
On Sept. 12, GSA officials extended the moratorium and also streamlined the application process. “Various factors such as inflation, supply chain shortages and price volatility continue to significantly impact the global economy. Therefore, there is a need to extend the temporary moratorium,” Jeffrey Koses, senior procurement executive, and Mark Lee, assistant commissioner, wrote in a memo.
They said the temporary moratorium is helping GSA to continue to offer a full range of products and services through the Federal Supply Schedule and GSA Global Supply programs.
