SBA launches new WO certification website

SBA has launched a new website to make it easier for Women-Owned Small Businesses to certify as such and to participate in the SBA’s WOSB Federal Contract Program.

SBA officials, in a news release, said the new website makes SBA’s contracting application and certification process for women-owned small businesses “completely accessible online and easier than ever to complete. Women contractors can now easily manage the certification process, including Third Party Certifications.”

The new website allows women business owners to upload documents and to manage the certification process online.

The website also has a tool called “Am I Eligible” that allows a small business to answer approximately 15 questions to determine if it is eligible for a federal contracting program.

SBA expects to expand the website to serve its other federal contracting programs as well, including the HUBZone program and the 8(a) Small Business Development Program.
