DOD final rule on services contract data

      The Defense Dept. published a final rule, which became effective on July 9, for contractors to report data on covered services contracts.

      The reporting is required for awarded task orders or contracts for $3 million or more in services in any of the following categories:

• Logistics management services;
• Equipment-related services;
• Knowledge-based services; or
• Electronics/ communications services.

      Contractors can report the data in the SAM.gov system.
