Mid-Atlantic set-asides
The Mid-Atlantic is the top region for anticipated small business set-asides in the fourth quarter ending Sept. 30, with more than 100 opportunities totaling $3.7 billion, the Washington Post reported.
The highest-value set-aside pending in the region is the Army Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems for Enterprise Resource Planning Services, which has a ceiling value of $1 billion, the newspaper said, citing a Deltek analysis.
Overall, the Mid-Atlantic region has $28 billion worth of contracts expected in the fourth quarter. The South East has $10 billion, and South Central has $4 billion.

MRO notice to proceed
The General Services Administration has issued an official Notice to Proceed on its Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) purchase channel strategic sourcing blanket purchase agreements.
MRO products include hardware, tools, paints, adhesives and sealants.
The notice was made after the Government Accountability Office dismissed several protests against MRO.
GSA construction cut
The General Services Administration’s construction budget would be cut further under a House bill approved on July 10, according to Federal Times.
The GSA would get $420 million for new construction in fiscal 2015, compared to $506 million this year.
The repair and renovation budget would be $965 million, down from $1 billion for fiscal 2014.
The bill includes funds to build or complete the Calexico and San Ysidro land ports of entry in California, and the Alexandria Bay land port of entry in New York, the newspaper said.
