SBA may consolidate All Small, 8(a) mentor-protege programs

SBA also considering broad changes to HUBZone rules

      The Small Business Administration announced it is considering two new major rulemakings affecting the 8(a) Business Development and HUBZone small business contracting programs.

      The first would consolidate the SBA’s All Small Mentor Protege Program and the 8(a) Mentor Protege Program into a single program.

      The SBA also may eliminate its role in approving joint venture agreements for 8(a) competitive contracts.
