The Justice Dept. recovered $2.2 billion in False Claims Act (FCA) settlements and judgments involving fraud in fiscal 2022, according to DOJ’s annual FCA report issued Feb. 7. That is less than half of the $5.6 billion the year before.
However, with 351 FCA settlements and judgments in fiscal 2022, the year ranked second highest in the number of FCA settlements and judgments, DOJ said.
