VA Med-Surg preferences

In a recent Statement of Work for its Medical-Surgical Prime Vendor 2.0 program, the Veterans Affairs Dept. did not mention how preferences for veteran-owned small firms would be implemented (See March 1, 2019 issue of Set-Aside Alert).

In response to Set-Aside Alert’s questions about this, a VA spokesperson provided this statement: “VA will comply with the preferences for Small Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses and Veteran Owned Business(es). The statement of work (SOW) is correct. To determine a preference, market research will be conducted and such information is not included in the SOW.”
