Federal contract spend under Category Mgmt. reaches $144B
But small biz share for 2018 below pre-2016 baseline
The government’s category management initiative is meeting most of its goals, but the small business share appears to be lagging.
Total federal contract spending under category management was $144.8 billion in fiscal 2018, which exceeded the Trump Administration’s goal by 3.7%, the General Services Administration announced in its Government-Wide Category Management Dashboard Update report published on the Acquisition Gateway.
