Widespread voter fraud?

President-elect Joe Biden won the election with 290 electoral votes to President’s Trump’s 214 electoral votes counted in 47 states, with Georgia, North Carolina and Alaska unreported as of Nov. 10, according to the Associated Press. The remaining three states do not have enough Electoral Votes to affect the outcome.

President Donald Trump has refused to concede and his campaign and allies have filed lawsuits alleging fraudulent voting in several states. He also has used social media to allege widespread fraud, without sufficient evidence, and several allies have said rallies are planned to continue the fight..

Thus far, the GOP allegations of fraud have been mostly rejected by judges. They also cover small numbers of votes which, even if fraud were proven, would not change the outcome of the election.

A few votes are still being counted in some counties, but the outcome will not change. Here is an overview of several of the Trump campaign’s claims of voter fraud and of the latest margins of victory for Biden as of Nov. 10:

PA - Biden up by 45,103 votes

Republicans asked a judge to stop the vote count because they claimed GOP observers had been prohibited from watching the vote counting. In court, they admitted GOP observers were in the room. A judge dismissed the case.

In a separate filing, a judge agreed that voting observers may move closer to the counting machines.

Under state law, Pennsylvania says mailed-in votes postmarked by Nov. 3 and received up to three days later are valid. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito ordered segregation of the small number of those late, but legal, ballots, primarily in the event that future legal disputes occur. Counties already had separated those ballots.

On Nov. 9, Trump’s campaign submitted another lawsuit in Pennsylvania alleging that the state fostered “disparate treatment” of in-person and mail-in voting. The Pennsylvania attorney general says the charges are not true. The case has not been adjudicated yet.

MI - Biden up by 147,896 votes

In two separate filings, Republicans alleged in court there were irregularities in the counting of absentee ballots. Judges dismissed both cases for lack of evidence.

In a separate case, a GOP lawsuit asked to stop all voting of late-arriving ballots counted improperly, based on a report of comments from a poll worker. But the Republicans did not know the poll worker’s name and had no testimony from the worker, so the judge said the evidence was not valid.

GA - Biden up by 12,428 votes

Trump’s campaign filed a lawsuit focusing on an alleged report of absentee ballot improprities in Chatham County. A Georgia judge dismissed the lawsuit based on lack of evidence.

AZ - Biden up by 17,131 votes

The Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee filed a lawsuit on Nov. 7 asking for a manual review of ballots that might have been misread by voting machines. Misreading may be due to stray marks or smudges. There is no decision yet.

NV - Biden up by 36,186 votes

Tne Trump team alleged publicly that 3,062 votes were illegal because they were by non-residents. Nevada law allows some voters to live out of state, including military and students. There has been no adjudication yet.
