New GSA contract management systems
The General Services Administration announced it has two new information technology systems in development to smooth acquisition procedures for federal agencies.
One is “EASi”, Enterprise Acquisition Solution Integrated, which interfaces with SAM.gov (System for Award Management).
Federal buyers will be able to use EASi for standardized solicitation and award packages, and for assistance with funding certification, Liz DelNegro, associate CIO of acquisition IT systems, wrote in a blog entry.
The other system underway is ASSIST, for supporting Federal Acquisition Service customers, contracting professionals and contractors by providing standardized task and delivery-order management.
“ASSIST integrates contracting with funds management,” DelNegro wrote, “and its registration consolidation module established a new central mechanism for GSA, vendor and client registration.”
