GSA awards agile IT BPA

The General Services Administration and its 18F innovation unit announced 16 awards under the first round of a new Blanket Purchase Agreement for agile software development services. Nine of the awards were to small businesses.

The time from solicitation to award was a relatively quick 70 days.

The BPA aimed to identify “agile, user-centered” software developers who can quickly develop prototypes, survey users and use open source code, GSA said.

The small business awardees were:

  • Applied Information Sciences Inc.
  • DSoft Technology Company
  • Flexion Inc.
  • NCI Information Systems Inc.
  • SemanticBits
  • TechFlow Inc.
  • TeraLogics LLC
  • Three Wire Systems LLC, and
  • Ventera Corporation.
