“Intent to nominate” Carranza
President Trump on July 31 announced his “intent to nominate” Jovita Carranza as the administrator of the Small Business Administration. The announcement was made in a White House press release.
Previously, in April, the president tweeted that he planned to name Carranza to the top SBA post.
It was not clear from the news release when the official nomination and Senate vote on confirmation would occur. SBA officials previously have referred all questions on the pending nomination to the White House.
