HUBZone rules to apply at or below the SAT
A proposed new regulation would apply the HUBZone Act rules at or below the SAT (Simplified Acquisition Threshold -- currently $250,000) in order to expand HUBZone procurement.
With about 283,000 contracts at or below the SAT awarded each year, applying the HUBZone Act to those acquisitions would “maximize” HUBZone set-aside and sole-source contracts, the Federal Register notice stated. The proposed rule also would apply HUBZone rules to commercial item contracts at or below the SAT.
