Treasury offers $300M for Tech Assist
Includes $100M for MBDA
The Treasury Dept. announced it would deliver a total of $300 million for technical assistance to underserved entrepreneurs and “very small” businesses through two initiatives.
The funding includes $100 million for the Commerce Dept.’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) to provide technical assistance to underserved entrepreneurs seeking capital investment, including venture capital.
The remaining $200 million will go to U.S. states, tribes, territories and the District of Columbia for the State Small Business Credit Initiative capital program, which provides technical assistance to qualifying underserved entrepreneurs and very small businesses.
