Contractors like House bill
The Professional Services Council, an advocacy group for federal contractors, praised the vendor-focused benefits in the House’s $3 trillion stimulus bill. The council noted several provisions in the legislation that help federal contractors:
- Requiring federal agencies to allow maximum telework for contractors during the coronavirus emergency;
- Paying prime federal contractors within 15 days of invoicing;
- Requiring government-wide, uniform guidance to clarify Section 3610 of the CARES Act (Sec. 70402); and
- Ensuring contractors are not penalized by adverse performance ratings due to contract disruptions caused by the coronavirus emergency (Sec. 70403).
