DHS’ FirstSource III RFP has 5 small biz tracks
The Homeland Security Dept. published a solicitation for the FirstSource III contract for IT hardware, software, VAR and IT managed services, with five tracks set aside for small businesses.
The multiple-award IDIQ contract has a potential value of $10 billion over 10 years.
The small business tracks are for 8(a)s, HUBZone firms, SDVOSBs, WOSBs and all small businesses.
Phase I proposals are due May 12.
Awards are expected by September.

CIO-SP4 RFP by May 7
The National Institutes of Health’s NITAAC announced that the highly anticipated CIO-SP4 solicitation will be released on or about May 7. The most recent previously-announced date of release was April 29.

Construction Wage Rate Price Adjustment
The DOD, GSA and NASA are inviting comments until June 21 on the pros and cons of Construction Wage Rate Requirements-Price Adjustment (Actual Method). Currently, the price adjustment requirements present a burden of over 20,000 hours for 500 contractors. That is about 40 hours each.
