Reps. seek OA advocate

The leaders of the House Small Business Committee (HSBC) recently urged President Joe Biden to nominate a Chief Counsel for Advocacy at the Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy (OA).

The OA advocates for small businesses. Since 2017, Major Clark has been OA’s acting chief counsel as well as SBA’s assistant chief counsel for procurement, according to LinkedIn.

“The position of Chief Counsel is too important to leave vacant,” Chair Rep. Roger Williams, R-TX, and Ranking Member Rep. Nydia Velazquez, D-NY, wrote.
