Immunity for federal vendors
Effective Feb. 4 to Oct. 1
Health and Human Services Dept. officials recently declared that the “PREP Act” is in effect from Feb. 4 to Oct. 1 this year. The law provides legal immunity for manufacturers, distributors, suppliers and administrators of qualified products and processes used to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
Contractors of these goods and services are immune to tort liability (except willful misconduct).
