3% of workers infected: poll

Ten out of 360 small business contractors reported that at least one of their employees has been diagnosed with COVID-19, according to the recent survey by Set-Aside Alert. That reflects a possible infection rate of 2.7% or greater.

However, the poll was anecdotal in nature and was not designed to be statistically significant. Respondents voluntarily filled out the survey online.

Another 77 respondents, or 21%, said at least one worker was potentially exposed and self-quarantined.

“Many of my employees are fearful of going to work because of the likelihood of being exposed and bringing the virus back home,” a respondent commented.
