Regulatory agendas out
Several federal agencies have released their semiannual regulatory agendas with a look-ahead for anticipated final rules, proposed rules and other actions:
- SBA’s agenda includes 6 proposed rules and two final rules on small business size standards, and a proposed rule for awarding small business procurement credits for lower-tier subcontracting, from the fiscal 2020 NDAA;
- DOD is preparing an “improvement” of its mentor-protege program and a final rule on justification and approval thresholds for 8(a) contracts;
- The GSA has 13 proposed rules, including two on increasing order-level competition for federal supply schedules contracts; and
- The FAR Council has 20 proposed rules and 21 final rules in the works, affecting HUBZones, Buy American and accelerated payments, among other issues.
