House OKs CR until March 11
The House voted on Feb. 8 to approve an additional short-term Continuing Resolution (CR) to fund the government through March 11. The vote was 272 to 162, with 51 Republicans joining 221 Democrats in support.
The short-term CR is expected to receive bipartisan support in the Senate to allow more time for negotiations on the fiscal 2022 omnibus appropriations bill.
The current CR is set to expire on Feb. 18. If no additional funding is approved by Congress, the government would be forced to shut down temporarily until funding is appropriated.
