Defense Dept. to review LPTA

Randall Culpepper, the Air Force’s top official for service contracting, is leading a team that will examine the use of Low-Price-Technically-Acceptable (LPTA) terms in contracts throughout the Defense Department, according to a report by Federal News Radio.

Culpepper, speaking at an AFCEA event, said he had been tasked to lead the LPTA review by Frank Kendall, acquisitions chief for DOD.

The results are expected to be included in a final version of Better Buying Power 3.0.
