Deltek names its Top 10 small business set-asides of fiscal 2015

Fiscal 2015 is shaping up as a banner year for high-value small business set-asides, according to a new report from Deltek research firm.

The 10 largest set-asides of fiscal 2015 add up to $21 billion, which is the highest level in the last five years, Deltek said.

The previous high was in fiscal 2012, at $18 billion.

The current value is triple the $7 billion forecasted for fiscal 2014, which was the lowest of all five years, Deltek said. Driving that value down was the lack of multi-billion dollar set-aside opportunities.

By contrast, fiscal 2015 brings two major opportunities with ceiling values over $2 billion.

The bulk of the fiscal 2015 value, about $18 billion, is related to information technology.

6. Naval Facilities Engineering Command AEC Multiple Award Construction Contract Various Locations Guam HUBZone; $400 million; engineering; RFP in November 2014.
7. FBI Sharepoint Microsoft Consulting Development Operations & Maintenance; $400 million; IT; RFP in October 2014 (editor: still pending).
8. Army Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance Support Srvices (SETA) (PEO STRI); $270 million; IT professional services; RFP in December 2014.
9. NASA Communications Outreach Multimedia and IT Contract (COMIT); $252 million; IT; RFP in November 2014.
