GSA says it has shortened time to modify schedules
The General Services Administration highlighted improvements to the Multiple-Award Schedules program from its “Making It Easier” initiative started in April.
“The time it takes for changes to be made to a current contract has been cut down to one or two business days …much quicker than before,” GSA Administrator Denise Turner Roth wrote in a blog.
Also, the time for innovative new IT suppliers to get on Schedule 70 was reduced from 110 days to 45 days, she wrote.

TX judge hits ‘Fair Pay’
A Texas judge temporarily blocked implementation of the “Fair Pay and Safe Workplaces” rule, which requires that federal contractors disclose labor violations.
The rule was to go into effect on Oct. 25. Its future now likely depends on the next president.
The lawsuit was filed by two contractors groups.
With the exception of the paycheck transparency provisions, the judge agreed there was a potential conflict between the new rule and current contracting regulations, according to an analysis by Morrison-Foerster LLP.
