State Dept. debuts online ‘BIDS’
The State Dept. launched its new Business Information Database (BIDS) website online to help U.S. firms find contract opportunities abroad.
U.S. business owners can subscribe to BIDS for free to obtain “real-time, on-the-ground leads” and the ability to connect directly to U.S. government officials in the field, the website states.
The BIDS website offers access to an interactive map displaying potential projects, with links to project websites, U.S. embassies and other resources.
Currently there are leads to more than 6,000 projects abroad.
The BIDS database can be accessed at: https://bids.state.gov/. Registration is required.
