Small firms of service-disabled vets see sharp rise in US contracting
Federal contracting with service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSBs) has more than tripled in value in the last eight years.
Totaling only $3.8 billion in fiscal 2007, federal contracts with SDVOSBs have risen dramatically to reach $13.5 billion in fiscal 2014.
By contrast, small business federal contracting overall only rose 10% in value during the same period: from $83.3 billion in fiscal 2007 to $91.7 billion in fiscal 2014.
That means that SDVOSB contracting outpaced small business contracting over the period........
