HHS Buyers Club issues first RFP
The Department of Health and Human Services has issued its first small business set-aside solicitation under its new “Buyers Club” initiative to bring new approaches to information technology services buys.
The Request for Proposals was issued by the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation.
The office is looking for vendor assistance in implementing a platform and technical infrastructure or websites, databases and software development environments, among other projects.
The procurement will be a two-step process. HHS said it will award $10,000 to each of up to five contractors to create prototypes in the first phase. In the second phase, a contractor will be chosen to develop the technology.
