SBA’s six new vet biz centers
The Small Business Administration recently announced $3.5 million in grants to operate six new Veterans Business Outreach Centers, bringing the total to 28 such centers serving all 50 states and Washington, DC. The grants were awarded to:
- Seattle Economic Development Fund, Business Impact NW, Seattle, WA; Coverage area: Alaska;
- University of Texas Arlington, Arlington, TX; Coverage area: Nevada;
- Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center, Colorado Springs, CO; Coverage area: Colorado;
- Nebraska Enterprise Fund, Oakland, NE; Coverage area: Nebraska and Iowa;
- The Citadel, Charleston, SC; Coverage Area: South Carolina; and
- Long Beach City College, Long Beach, CA; Coverage Area: Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Ventura, Orange, Santa Barbara and Riverside counties.
