“Making it Easier” for vendors: GSA

Prospective bidders advised to prepare for self-scoring format

GSA Administrator Denise Turner Roth introduced the “Making it Easier” initiative on April 6 to smooth the way for small and innovative businesses to sell to the government.

The initiative includes the “FASt Lane” to Schedule 70, reducing the time for some groups of vendors to get on Schedule 70, to 30 days, from a 110-day average.

In addition, the two-year professional experience requirement may be replaced for some highly-qualified Schedule 70 applicants.

GSA also developed the IT 70 Plain Language Roadmap website with step-by-step instructions on how to apply to Schedule 70, along with a “Welcome Package” for new Schedule vendors.
