SBA creates WOSB portal
The Small Business Administration debuted a new Web portal to assist women small business owners in certifying themselves as such to be eligible for federal set-asides.
The women may register on the site, fill out applications and upload documents in order to self-certify under the SBA’s Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Program. Alternatively, they may upload documents to support third-party applications for certifications.
“As self-certification is still permitted while SBA develops new criteria, this modernized site supports those decisions,” SBA said in announcing the new website.
The new website, located at https://certify.SBA.gov , went live in late March. It replaces the former WOSB Program repository managed by SBA, and the SBA said it is migrating repository documents to the new site.
The SBA also said the new website may be unavailable to contracting officers for several weeks while documents are being migrated, which started March 24.
