Trump budget eliminates these small agencies
As part of his “America First” budget proposal, President Trump has called for completely eliminating a number of small and independent agencies.
Here are the agencies on Trump’s hit list, in alphabetical order:
- African Development Foundation;
- Appalachian Regional Commission;
- Chemical Safety Board;
- Corporation for National and Community Service;
- Corporation for Public Broadcasting;
- Delta Regional Authority;
- Denali Commission;
- Institute of Museum and Library Services;
- Inter-American Foundation;
- U.S. Trade and Development Agency;
- Legal Services Corp.;
- National Endowment for the Arts;
- National Endowment for the Humanities;
- Neighborhood Reinvestment Corp.;
- Northern Border Regional Commission;
- Overseas Private Investment Corp.;
- U.S. Institute of Peace;
- U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness; and the
- Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
It is not known whether Congress will go along with Trump’s blueprint.
