CR expiration adds uncertainty

Planned Parenthood fight?

There is talk about Congress extending the Continuing Resolution that expires April 28 until the end of September.

Another possibility is that GOP conservatives may hold up the remaining fiscal 2017 budget unless it defunds Planned Parenthood--risking a government shutdown, according to an Axios report by Axios.

And many believe federal contracting is likely to continue to be lethargic while the fiscal 2017 budget uncertainty continues.

Larry Allen, president of Allen Federal Business Partners, described civilian spending in this quarter as “slow and unpredictable” due to the current CR, in an interview with Federal News Radio. However, he predicts an uptick in the fourth quarter.
