Trump plan for infrastructure
President Trump is expected to release a $1.5 trillion infrastructure proposal that includes about $200 billion in new federal dollars. Most of the rest of the funding is expected to come from state governments and private investment.
The federal funding is likely to include $100 billion in incentives that would need to be matched by funding provided by state governments and private investors, according to NBC News.
Another $20 billion would pay for loans for improving rail, water and other transportation projects. There would be $50 billion for rural infrastructure projects to be distributed as block grants to states, and another $20 billion for next-generation innovative infrastructure projects.
